Fault codes
A stored fault code tells you what the gearbox control unit noticed, not which part is broken. Several different faults can produce the same code, and one fault can set several codes at once.
These pages explain the codes that come up most often on DSG gearboxes, which gearbox they belong to, and the order in which to check things. Read the codes before you clear them, and keep a note of what was stored.
